The EdTech@UNIMA 2024 Conference took place on Thursday, May 16th, and Friday, May 17th, at the prestigious Economics Building, University of Malawi. This two-day event was a vibrant convergence of minds dedicated to exploring the future of educational technology (EdTech) in Malawi.

Set to take place on Thursday 16th May and Friday 17th May at the prestigious Economics Building, University of Malawi, this two-day event promises to be an exciting opportunity for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and networking within the realm of educational technology (EdTech).
Ntha Foundation was among the organizations that participated in the Malawi City Meetup event held at Mhub in Lilongwe. The event, hosted by Mzuzu EHub in partnership with AfrilLabs, brought together industry professionals, tech enthusiasts, and innovators to share knowledge, network, and explore the latest trends in technology and innovation.
RSVP to attend CIDCON Africa. The Creativity and Innovation for Development Convention Africa (CIDCON Africa) is a new initiative by the Ntha Foundation and partners – an annual event commemorating the annual “World Creativity and Innovation Day” by the United Nations.
In Malawi, the aspiration to ‘turn schools into ICT centres’ is not new, as similar efforts date to the 1960s. While the nature and types of technologies introduced in schools have been changing, the rationales for introducing them have remained almost the same. The EdTech@UNIMA2024 conference will engage with these issues, with the aim of fostering dialogue from different perspectives.
