Sound Connects Funds

Music4Malawi

Music4Malawi was set up in partnership with the Music in Africa Foundation, through two projects. The platform is a music and creative resource sharing platform - aiming at building capacity of Malawian artists and creatives from and based in Malawi through interactive workshops, content development and distribution as well as a music showcase event.

Supporting the youth in the intentional use of their creative talents – helping them build sustainable brands; creating revenue for themselves and more job opportunities for other young creatives.

To bridge researchers & creatives to create informative & engagin content to champion change, create businesses, curb unemployment and in the longrun eradicate poverty.

Sound Connects Fund

The Sound Connects Fund is an initiative by the Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) and Goethe-Institut; made possible with funding from the ACP-EU Culture Programme, a project implemented by the Secretariat of the African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) Group of States and funded by the European Union (EU). The Fund is also co-funded by Goethe-Institut and Siemens Stiftung.

Music In Africa Live

Music In Africa Live was pioneered by the Music In Africa Foundation (MIAF) in partnership with the German Federal Foreign Office, Siemens Stiftung and Goethe Institut. Grants worth €740,000 were awarded to brands around Africa, for Showcase; Capacity Building and Music Advocacy projects.
