Our Genesis | WHEN AND HOW WE WERE ESTABLISHED

The Ntha Foundation, a Malawian-owned educational trust, is dedicated to cultivating creativity and innovation for the advancement of development. Its inception in 2018 can be traced back to Nthanda Manduwi, emerging under the umbrella of Hillside Investments. It subsequently evolved into a non-profit company operating under the structure of a company limited by guarantee.

Within the framework of Hillside Investments, a conglomerate housing various ventures, stand out Hillside Secondary and Excel Primary Schools. These educational establishments are situated in the remote region of Mangochi, Malawi. The Ntha Foundation collaborates closely with these schools, maintaining satellite hubs at both locations.

A noteworthy milestone achieved by the Ntha Foundation is the establishment of the Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre. Within its walls reside multiple acclaimed innovations, platforms for collaborative endeavors, and impactful training programs. Notably, the KICC has successfully trained more than 600 young individuals.

Central to the mission of the Ntha Foundation is its commitment to fostering the creation of sustainable businesses and, ultimately, generating employment opportunities. By leveraging the forces of creativity and innovation, the foundation actively contributes to the bolstering of the private sector. This overarching objective is pursued with strategic communication playing a pivotal role in advocating for socio-economic transformation.

The Ntha Foundation stands as a beacon of innovation, bridging education, creativity, and strategic vision to drive positive change in Malawi. Through collaborative efforts and dynamic programs, it aims to catalyze sustainable business growth, create jobs, and advance the economic landscape of the region.
