TechCabal’s Ephraim Modise writes “Malawi is not exactly famous for its vibrant tech ecosystem as a result of several factors. The country has an internet penetration rate of only 24% in a population of 20 million people, a virtually non-existent venture capital ecosystem, and a limited presence of leading continental and global tech companies. However, due to efforts from the innovators, public and private sectors, as well as development institutions, this is slowly changing.”
Mr. Modise interviewed our founder, Ms. Manduwi, on her journey leading the Digital Malawi Project, in a public private partnership with the Malawi Government.
