At @NthaFoundation, we are proud to be youth as well as female-founded & female-led. We are equally always elated to have 60% of our staff as young women.

In celebration of #WomensHistoryMonth, we would like to introduce you to the #WomenofNthaFoundation:

1. Our founder @NthandaManduwi (Inactive), 27, is a Social Scientist based in NYC undertaking a Graduate Programme, and she brings to the team a decade of experience in Business Development and Digital + Media Solutions.

2. @KamwazaRhoda (Active), 29, joined the @NthaFoundation in 2021, and she works as the Operations and Finance Manager.

She holds a diploma in Financial Accounting, and is currently completing her Bachelors degree at The Catholic University of Malawi.

3. @LindaMchawi (Active), 29, is an Information Management professional with a speciality in Project Management and Health and Biodiversity Informatics.

She manages @KwathuCentre, and is also a Writer & Editor with interests in Gender and Women’s Issues.

4. Rebecca (Active), 28, holds a Master of Science Communications & Information Systems, and she leads a team of more than 12 ICT and Digital Media specialists at Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre @KwathuCentre under @NthaFoundation.

5. Prisca Kamnkhwani (Active), 26, holds a degree in Business Administration. She is creative in #FashionDesign, but also works as a Procurement Specialist with @NthaFoundation. She joined the team as Administrator in June of 2021.

6. @Judith_Kumwenda (Active), 24, is a Development practitioner with a specialty in research, gender and media. She is a trained feminist, macroeconomist and data analyst, and has been with @NthaFoundation for a year+ leading the Resource Mobilisation team.

7. Vitumbiko (Inactive), 24, joined the @NthaFoundation as an ICT Associate. Vitu did her tertiary education at National College of Information & Technology where she got her Bachelors of science (Hons) in Computing and Information systems in August 2020.

2022 was a great year for the expansion of @NthaFo

2022 was a great year for the expansion of @NthaFoundation!

We share with you in our annual report our projects, and all the work we were up to in 2022.

We trained 400+ youth, partnered with 10+ organisations, & held 4 B2B events.

Restating who we are and what we do: the Ntha Foundation is an education trust which fosters the use of creativity and innovation for entrepreneurial development.

We have been operational since 2018. Ntha Foundation is comprised of a mix of researchers and creatives who create informative & engaging content to champion change & the pursuit of our mission: ‘Supporting youth in the intentional use of their innovative & creative talents – helping them build sustainable brands.'

In 2022, we partnered with the Malawi University of Science and Technology Malawi University Of Science and Technology - who brought to our organisation 8 talented young ICT professionals to work with us through the #MMTProgram.

2022 also saw us wrapping up the World Bank funded Malawi Government Digital Malawi Project through the Public Private Partnership Commission. We set up two innovation and creative centres under the Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre in Lilongwe and Mangochi, and managed to train 363 young people in digital and entrepreneurial skills.

As we enter our 6th year of existence, we continue to experience growth & agile sustainability - this is all made possible thanks to our funding partners, partner organisations, participants, incredible team, consultants & other stakeholders who we have worked with along the way.

We have big plans for 2023, and we hope you can grow with us.

At the heart of what we do, is who we are.

The @NthaFoundation is an education trust which fosters the use of creativity and innovation for entrepreneurial development.

Some of our core values: we are youth and female founded + led. The @KwathuCentre (hubs under @NthaFoundation) is comprised of a mix of young researchers and creatives who create informative & engaging content to champion change & the pursuit of our mission: ‘Supporting youth in the intentional use of their innovative & creative talents – helping them build sustainable brands.'

We have been operational since 2018, and have since trained over 600 youth - creatives, entrepreneurs, musicians, university students and graduates through the #DigitalMalawi project, the #KwathuUpgrade project, the #NyenyeziFellowship and the #MMTProgram.

We exist to serve the youth!

Gone are the days when for one to have a ‘job’

Gone are the days when for one to have a ‘job’, you had to work from a physical office. The “Digital Era” brings our way the convenience of virtual work.

We may not know what the future holds, but one thing is clear — remote work is here to stay. There’s a lot still up in the air, but one thing has become increasingly clear in the months following the coronavirus pandemic — remote work is the future.

We at @NthaFoundation believe the #Roadto1millionjobs will certainly take the shape of virtual jobs. This is why we are creating @ColanceAfrica - a way to connect creators to the market.

With funding from The @WorldBank through the Public Private Partnership Commission, the Ntha Foundation at Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre (@KwathuCentre) implemented an E-Work Training.

Let’s talk the Classroom of the future! In Malawi, large classes are a common sight, with an average ratio of one teacher to 73 learns.

With @Bants2Business, we are aiming to shift the conversation from focusing on the traditional classroom to technologically advanced way of education delivery.

We have partnered with @NxtGenLabs_mw to have a conversation on EdTech - another edition of @Bants2Business.

In conversation will be Professor Chomora Mikeka - DSTI (Ministry of Education), Eugene Maseya - @NxtGenLabs_mw founder, and Rebecca Mzungu Saeluzika - ICT lead at @NthaFoundation.

Over the past 2 years, we at Ntha Foundation have been building an e-learning platform @DigiSavvyAfrica - awarded as EdTech Innovation of the year in 2021.

We aim to train the next generation of Digital Media mavens.

Join us this coming Friday, the 27th of January, 2023 for another edition of @Bants2Business at @nxtgenlabs_mw as we talk #TheClassroomoftheFuture with Godfrey Kambewa, in conversation with Professor Chomora Mikeka Director of Science, Technology and Innovation (DSTI) in the Ministry of Education (Malawi Government), Eugene Maseya - founder of Nxt Gen Labs Malawi, and Rebecca Mzungu Saeluzika - ICT Lead at @NthaFoundation.

This is event is fully supported by the Malawi Government, through the Public Private Partnership Commission, under the #DigitalMalawi Project, as funded by the World Bank Africa.
