Position: Voluntary – ICT Associate (Management Trainee)
Duration: 3 months
Location: Area 47, Lilongwe
The Ntha Community Foundation is an education trust that fosters the use of creativity and innovation for development through advocacy. We aim to assist in the creation of sustainable businesses, creating employment, and in the longrun boosting the private sector.
We use creativity and innovation to advocate for socio-economic transformation through strategic communication.
We work in close collaboration with the Bien Corporation Africa; who handle the production and dissemination of our work. We work in multimedia, specialising in digital media.
Purpose of the M’mawa Management Training Program
The M’mawa Management Training is a full-time voluntary program at Ntha Foundation, providing in-class lessons and on-the-job trainings in administration, communication, digital skills, people skills and work ethics. We understand that we cannot all be entrepreneurs/founders – that there must be some managers/administrative partners to assist start-up founders in the realisation of the development of sustainable business.
This program enhances the educational experience through practical training and guided hands-on exposure & involvement in Ntha Foundation’s projects as well as providing exposure and access to the Ntha Foundation’s skills training programs.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in performing hardware and software installation procedures
Perform software configuration on stand-alone computers and laptops
Provide support in diagnosing hardware and software issues and troubleshooting activities
Document all processes in reference manuals for training and guidance
Assist in hardware and software inventory management
Handle periodic maintenance of hardware and software
Troubleshoot equipment such as printers and scanners and other peripherals
Handle researching options and research computer bugs and their solutions
Handle IT-related documentation and make sure that all IT supplies are available
Assist in gathering user requirements and developing appropriate reports for IT professionals
Provide users with ongoing assistance in their information technology problems
Coordinate vendors for the acquisition of equipment and software
Provide support in setting up end-user training activities
Specific Requirements
Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems
degree
Familiar with Java, .NET, JavaScript or HTML/DHTML and Microsoft Office Suite
Strong verbal and written communication
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well in teams
