2024 Policy Hackathon: YOUTH CONNEKT AFRICA x MASTERCARD FOUNDATION

The Ntha Foundation was proud to participate in the 2024 Youth Connekt Africa Policy Hackathon, where our first innovation – Digital Skills for Africa (DSA), was selected to represent innovative solutions to youth skilling and employability. We were represented by our COO, Victor Caesar Gondwe, who brings our vision and strategies to this event.

The Power of Pan-African Innovation

At the core of the YouthConnekt Africa Policy Hackathon is the belief in the power of Pan-African innovation. This event is more than just a platform for showcasing solutions; it is a testament to the collaborative potential across African nations. By bringing together 30 innovative enterprises from across the continent, the hackathon fosters a spirit of unity and shared purpose. This is where African youth are not just participants but leaders in shaping the future of education, employment, and economic growth.

The Power of Public-Private Partnerships

Public-private partnerships (PPPs) play a pivotal role in driving the success of initiatives like the YouthConnekt Africa Policy Hackathon. The partnership between YouthConnekt Africa and the Mastercard Foundation is a shining example of how collaborations between the public and private sectors can yield transformative results. This partnership, alongside support from the African Union and other key stakeholders, ensures that the voices of young Africans are at the forefront of policy-making and innovation.

The Ntha Foundation’s involvement in this hackathon is a clear reflection of our commitment to these values. We believe that through strategic partnerships and a focus on scalable, innovative solutions, we can empower the next generation of African leaders and entrepreneurs.

As the hackathon unfolds from August 26 to 28, 2024, we look forward to engaging with other forward-thinking organizations and contributing to the collective effort of creating a brighter future for African youth.
