In Malawi, the aspiration to ‘turn schools into ICT centres’ is not new, as similar efforts date to the 1960s. While the nature and types of technologies introduced in schools have been changing, the rationales for introducing them have remained almost the same. The EdTech@UNIMA2024 conference will engage with these issues, with the aim of fostering dialogue from different perspectives.
The Ntha Foundation was delighted to have welcomed Professor Dean Yang from the University of Michigan and representatives from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources led by Professor Khataza and the rest of the Remote Jobs Project team at the Kwathu Kowork Hub in Lilongwe, Malawi.
At the end of January, our team at Ntha Foundation attended the closing conference for the Sound Connects Fund (SCF) project in Maputo, Mozambique. This marked the culmination of an incredible journey that spanned 40 months, driving growth and transformation in Southern Africa’s cultural and creative industries (CCIs).
