On May 27th, 2024, the Ntha Foundation proudly participated in the Africa Day celebration hosted by the Government of Malawi at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco. Organized in partnership with the African Union, this year’s event centered on the theme “An Education Fit for the 21st Century,” reflecting the continent’s commitment to advancing educational standards and fostering innovation among its youth. The celebration was a testament to the spirit of unity and progress that Africa Day embodies.
A Day of Insightful Dialogues and Cultural Exchange
The program commenced at 14:50 with the arrival of guests, setting the stage for an afternoon of insightful speeches and cultural exhibitions. The event was beautifully orchestrated by the Master of Ceremonies, Zilanie Ngondwe, whose welcoming remarks marked the beginning of the proceedings.
Keynote Speeches and Documentaries
The Head of Mission of Morocco, H.E. Abdelkader Naji, presented a speech and a documentary on Morocco, highlighting the country’s educational initiatives and its partnership with Malawi.
The Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, H.E. Dr. Nancy Saungweme, also addressed the attendees, underscoring the collaborative efforts of African nations in promoting quality education.
Our founder, Ms. Nthanda Manduwi, representing the Ntha Foundation, delivered a compelling speech, sharing our organization’s vision and efforts in transforming education to meet 21st-century demands.
A documentary on the African Union was shown, showcasing the organization’s role in fostering educational development across the continent.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honorable Nancy Tembo (M.P.), then delivered a powerful speech reaffirming Malawi’s commitment to educational reform and international cooperation.
