International Labour Day 2024 | YOUTH EMPLOYMENT AND CLIMATE RESILIENCE

As we commemorate International Labour Day, the Ntha Foundation reaffirms its commitment to creating safe and healthy work environments while addressing the challenges posed by climate change.

Celebrating International Labour Day 2024 with a Focus on Youth Employment and Climate Resilience

This year’s theme, “Ensuring Safety and Health at Work in a Changing Climate,” resonates deeply with our mission to empower young people and foster sustainable development across Africa.

In the face of a rapidly changing climate, ensuring the safety and well-being of workers has become more critical than ever. Extreme weather events, rising temperatures, and environmental degradation pose significant risks to workplaces and livelihoods, particularly in vulnerable communities. At the Ntha Foundation, we recognize the urgency of addressing these challenges and are dedicated to equipping youth with the skills and resources needed to adapt and thrive in a changing climate.

Through our youth employment initiatives, we provide training, mentorship, and job opportunities that prioritize safety, health, and environmental sustainability. From promoting green entrepreneurship to facilitating access to climate-resilient industries, we are empowering young people to become agents of positive change in their communities.

On this Labour Day, let us reaffirm our commitment to building a future where every young person has access to safe and dignified work opportunities, regardless of the challenges posed by climate change. Together, we can create a more inclusive, sustainable, and resilient world for generations to come.

Happy International Labour Day from the Kwathu Kollective (Ntha Foundation family)!
