International Day of the Girl Child | DIGITAL GENERATION – OUR GENERATION.

“Tomorrow’s possibilities are limitless when we invest in today’s girls”; As we are celebrating the Day of the Girl Child, Ntha Foundation is proud to be a part of the journey towards a ‘Digital Generation’ that will redefine our world.

In alignment with this year’s “DIGITAL GENERATION, OUR GENERATION” theme for the International Day of the Girl Child, Ntha Foundation is actively playing its part in promoting digital literacy and empowerment among young girls in Malawi.

We are committed to narrowing the gender gap in the digital world by providing comprehensive digital media training programs. Our initiative primarily focuses on ensuring a significant female intake, thereby empowering young girls across the nation. Partnering with Digi Savvy Africa, we are determined to equip the girl child with essential digital skills and knowledge, enabling them to thrive in today’s technologically-driven society.

Moreover, through platforms like Music4Malawi and Bants2Business, we have initiated dialogues about women’s roles in the music industry, breaking down barriers and highlighting the accomplishments of women in various fields such as STEM, Fashion, and Finance.

By providing workshops focusing on digital inclusion, social media management, influencer marketing, and personal branding, we are taking concrete steps to address the digital divide and empower women as digital entrepreneurs.

Ntha Foundation stands out as a female-led social enterprise, with every key role, from the founder and managing director to project officers, communications, and procurement, occupied by young women.

Through the Kwathu Innovation & Creative Centre, the foundation has undertaken the impactful Digi Savvy project, aiming to impart digital skills to individuals, with a special focus on young women.

Ntha Foundation‘s efforts have yielded tangible results, as exemplified by the success story of Belita Kajamu, a creative entrepreneur who, with the foundation’s support, is mastering online marketing, effectively placing her various brands on the digital map.
