Today, on the 21st of April, 2024, we celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day, a day dedicated to recognizing the transformative power of creativity and innovation in shaping our world for the better. It’s a day to honor the ingenuity, resourcefulness, and limitless potential of human imagination.
At the Ntha Foundation, we believe that creativity and innovation are not just buzzwords but the driving force behind positive change and progress. That’s why we were thrilled to partner with the European Union Delegation to Malawi in hosting a memorable celebration event just a few days ago.
On the 19th of April, 2024, we gathered at the European Union Residence to commemorate this special day, surrounded by esteemed guests, young entrepreneurs, and innovators from across Malawi. The event was a vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and collaboration, reflecting the spirit of World Creativity and Innovation Day.
Throughout the evening, we were treated to inspiring keynote addresses, captivating artistic performances, and thought-provoking panel discussions. His Excellency Rune Skinnebach, the Ambassador of the European Union Delegation to Malawi, delivered a poignant keynote speech, emphasizing the importance of fostering a culture of innovation for sustainable development.
Mr. Qabaniso Malewezi, Founder of Kweza Arts, shared his insights into the role of creativity in driving social change, while Ms. Nthanda Manduwi, Founder of the Ntha Foundation, spoke passionately about the foundation’s commitment to empowering youth through innovation and advocacy.
One of the highlights of the event was the engaging Bants2Business Panel Discussion, moderated by Ms. Nthanda Manduwi, which explored the power of collaboration for creativity and innovation. Panelists, including Dr. Rachel Sibande, Founder of Mhub, Ms. Wezi Salima, Team Leader at Muuni Fund, and Mr. Ian Khonje, Founder of Oasis Brands, shared their experiences and perspectives on harnessing creativity for positive impact.
As we celebrate World Creativity and Innovation Day today, let us reflect on the lessons learned and the inspiration gained from our recent event. Let us continue to nurture creativity, embrace innovation, and champion collaboration in all aspects of our lives. Together, we can create a future where creativity flourishes, innovation thrives, and every idea has the power to change the world.
Happy World Creativity and Innovation Day from the Ntha Foundation team!
