On 30 July 2024, the Ntha Foundation had the honor of attending the Moroccan National Day celebrations at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Lilongwe, Malawi. This event marked the 25th anniversary of King Mohammed VI’s accession to the throne and was a testament to the strong diplomatic relations between Morocco and Malawi.

The Moroccan National Day celebrations were filled with key activities and speeches that underscored the strong ties between Morocco and Malawi, as well as the cultural richness of Morocco.
Opening Remarks: The Moroccan Ambassador to Malawi began the event with a heartfelt speech, expressing gratitude for the warm relations between the two countries and emphasizing the importance of continued cooperation in areas such as agriculture, education, and infrastructure development.
Diplomatic Speeches: Honourable Nancy Tembo, the Malawian Minister of Foreign Affairs, delivered a speech highlighting the strong and friendly relations between Malawi and Morocco. She acknowledged Morocco’s contributions to Malawi’s development, particularly in agriculture and education.
Networking and Discussions: The event provided an excellent opportunity for guests to network and discuss potential areas of cooperation, with a strong focus on exploring new avenues for economic and cultural collaboration.
Culinary Experience: Guests were treated to a variety of traditional Moroccan dishes, offering them a delightful taste of Moroccan cuisine. The food was a major attraction, allowing participants to experience the flavors of Morocco firsthand.
