World Population Day | EMPOWERING COMMUNITIES THROUGH POPULATION STUDIES

On July 11, the world comes together to observe World Population Day, a day dedicated to raising awareness about global population issues. This year, we celebrate the theme of “Empowering Youth for a Sustainable Future.” As we reflect on the challenges and opportunities related to population growth, let’s spotlight organizations like the Ntha Foundation that are making a difference.

why Population Studies?

Our founder Nthanda Manduwi is a trained demographer by profession. She is a host of the Lessons Conversation, and she serves as the lead Community Anchor for the Gates Institute “Family Planning News Network”. Her passion for understanding population dynamics and fostering positive change led her to create an organization that blends creativity, innovation, and data-driven insights.

Our Programmatic Interest

At the heart of the Ntha Foundation lies a deep programmatic interest in Population Studies. Here’s how we’re making a difference:

1. Research and Advocacy

We conduct rigorous research on population trends, migration patterns, and demographic shifts. Our findings inform evidence-based policies and empower decision-makers to create sustainable solutions.

2. Education and Awareness

Through workshops, seminars, and community outreach, we raise awareness about population-related challenges. From family planning to urbanization, we engage with diverse audiences to foster informed discussions.

3. Collaboration and Innovation

The Ntha Foundation collaborates with local communities, academic institutions, and international partners. Together, we explore innovative approaches to address population-related issues, ensuring a brighter future for all.

2025 International Conference on Family Planning

As we celebrate World Population Day, we are excited and look forward to International Conference on Family Planning, to be held in Bogota, Colombia. Working towards that, let’s amplify the voices of women, advocate for gender equality, and unlock infinite possibilities.
