This week, we had the honor of joining the Malawi University of Science and Technology in a stakeholder consultative meeting. The meeting was organized by the Computer Science and Information Technology Department of the University, to discuss the industry relevance of their newly introduced undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.

The World Bank Office in Lilongwe organized an event called ‘End Poverty’, which gathered young entrepreneurs and students from Malawi, Zimbabwe, Tanzania and Zambia who interacted and showcased their potential and abilities in job creation and entrepreneurship, through presentations, skills showcases and panel discussions.
Through the phase 3 of the Digital Skills Development and Innovation Grants training, we managed to build the capacity of these youths to become capable ICT users who can innovatively apply their skills in their business endeavors and also find jobs that require ICT literacy.
