Today at the Bingu International Convention Centre, the Muuni Fund hosted its inaugural innovation expo under the theme “Fostering Local Innovations: Building a Thriving Ecosystem in Malawi.”
The event gathered innovators from various local councils, showcasing groundbreaking technologies and solutions to address Malawi’s challenges.
The expo was honoured by the presence of the Minister of Information, Hon. Moses Kunkuyu Kalongashawa, who stressed the critical role of ICT in driving economic growth and societal advancement. MACRA Board Chair, Mrs. Bridget Chibwana, highlighted the importance of collaboration and partnerships to sustain innovations in Malawi.
The Ntha Foundation was proud to attend this pivotal event, showcasing our commitment to fostering creativity and innovation for development. The expo demonstrated the transformative power of technology in shaping a smarter, more connected Malawi. We had the opportunity to network with key industry players, including MACRA DG Daud Suleman, Principal Secretary for Information and Digitalization Mr. Baldwin Samuel Chiyamwaka, and other distinguished guests.
The Muuni Innovation Expo 2024 not only provided a platform for local innovators but also reaffirmed MACRA’s commitment to continuous investment in the Muuni Fund, promising a brighter future for Malawi’s technological landscape.
