Few weeks ago, our Board Director and Creative Skills Trainer, Mr. Alex Kachepa, had the honor of presenting on behalf of the Ntha Foundation at the Youth Conversation Conference (YCC) organized by Angaza Foundation, a partner of SESAM Foundation for Youth Development at the Bingu International Convention Centre.
The YCC, initiated by Angaza Foundation, aims to support youth facing mental health challenges and entrepreneurship struggles. It brings together individuals in the mental health sector and budding entrepreneurs, providing a platform for learning, sharing experiences, and fostering breakthroughs in the industry.
Ntha Foundation, a youth-led entrepreneurial organization in Malawi, seized the opportunity to share insights on thriving in a challenging economy. Alex highlighted key aspects of Ntha Foundation‘s work, including being an education trust advocating for socio-economic transformation through creativity and innovation. The foundation collaborates with businesses, focusing on research, skills training, creative production, and media dissemination.
In Alex’s presentation start-up to scale-up |Strategies for young entrepreneurs who think BIG! , he covered Ntha Foundation‘s brands, such as DigiSavvy, M’mawa Management Training Program, and Music4Malawi Project, showcasing a success rate of $365K in funding, incubating over 600 businesses, and running two full-time programs. The strategies for success included alternative funding, investment in technology, new business models, associated products and services, passionate personnel, and the importance of letting go.
